Maryam Nawaz, deputy director of PML-N, was taken to the National Accountability Office (NAB) on Thursday by Kot Lakhpat prison, where she became friends with the imprisoned father Nawaz Sharif.
According to a senior reporter released by NAB, Maryam and her cousin Yousuf Abbas were arrested in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case and taken to NAB headquarters.
According to the Chairman of the National Advisory Committee, the medical team visited all detained doctors.
According to the press release, according to the law, NAB will bring Maryam and Abbas to the Lahore District Court and ask them to retaliate.

‘Blind by political channels’
PML-N leaders and supporters, including Marriyum Aurangzeb and Ahsan Iqbal, oppose development outside the National Assembly.
In a statement, PML-N Chairman Shehbaz Sharif condemned the arrest of Maryam and called it a “wrong step.”
“Capturing Maryam Nawaz in front of Nawaz Sharif and her grandchildren is extremely tragic, heartbreaking and shameful,” Shehbaz said.
“The government is blind, because retaliation is political, neither power nor understanding. What information did people convey and arrest Mariam before Eid al-Fitr?” asked the head of PML-N.
Earlier, due to PML-N protests, PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned Maryam’s arrest with a strong slogan before the rally.
“The cruel dictator Zia (Ull) Huck is a dictator who filed suit against the family of the accused,” he told the National Assembly.
“We saw this again in Naya Pakistan. You feel […] history remembers Imran Khan, he said justice … arrested Maryam Nawaz without protest,” he said before the protest Announced.
PML-N leader Iqbal criticized the government for “attacking the country’s attention to the Kashmir issue when arresting Maryam.”
“The Prime Minister has confirmed that he is a gift from a friend of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kashmir [story],” he sent a tweet.
PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the arrest of Maryam and said that the Corrupt Commissioner “want to rebuild his sister (Faryal Talpur).”
Comments were also submitted to the Punjab Parliament against the arrest of Maryam.
Chaudhry Sugar Mills
Maryam recorded her statement at Chaudhry Sugar Mills in front of NAB on July 31. The statement concerns the “suspicious” business of Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM), one of the company’s shareholders.
What NAB revealed to Dawn at the time was that in January 2018, PML-N’s financial management agency reported to NAB some suspicions involving billions of rupees involved in Chaudhry Sugar Mills under the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
The results also confirmed that the NAB survey, which began in October 2018, confirmed the Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Shahbaz Sharif and Abbas Sharif families as well as other guests in the UAE and the United Kingdom.
“From 2001 to 2017, Chaudhry Sugar Mills provided millions of shares in the name of foreigners. Later, the company’s shares were exchanged back to Maryam Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif at different times. The foreign name was used as an agent in order to make a large investment in the company, why the Sharif family did not have any money,” Dawn said.
NAB also called Maryam on August 8th (today) and asked her to share her details of the CSM share, details of economic and diplomatic relations – UAE national Saeed Said bin Jabar al Suweidi; Sheikh Zakauddin, British national; Saudi Arabian nationals Hani Ahmed Jajuen and Naseer Abdullah Lootah, members of the United Arab Emirates.
He was also asked to elaborate on the removal/sending of the telegram and his transfer from abroad.
